I converted some Armies In Plastic Egyptians into simplified version of the Austrians that served Maximilian I .
The heads are All The King's Men spare straw hat heads heavily converted with Green Stuff. The crowns might be a bit too high.
Some sources are from old prints and newer interpretations.
What's interesting to me is that these troops may have been among the Austrians sent to Matamoros on the border of the US and the port of Bagdad on the Mexican gulf coast, and area of smuggling to the Confederacy.
