and found this non-sequitor illustration....
The caption was 'TOI QUI CONNAIS LES HOUZARDS DE LA GARDE' and I haven't found a date for the drawing which shows the era of Napoleon III, but done much later. 1880s or 90s, maybe early 1900s.
Looks like the title was a verse from this song. Trombones are mentioned.
