Armies In Plastic Artillery Conversions.

......can make Union and Confederate gunners. I graft AIP "Kepi heads" from their Berdan's Sharpshooter/USMarines (etc) set onto the British gunner bodies with Zap A Gap, 1/16 plastic rod, and a 1/16 drill in a pin vice.

Product Placement World War One style

I like the Dubonnet magazine ad from 1900 and was looking for more when these Dubonnet postcards turned up from 1914-1915...

Ah! Les Belles Bacchantes

This is a clip from a 1954 French comedy set in a Burlesque theater. It seems to have a following on YOUTUBE with the whole film posted by a Russian. (With Russian dubbing) The clip has a musical number where early 20th Century gentlemen peek though the keyhole at a lady undressing. In the 1950s the art director or costumer got the layers of clothing right for 1900, even in a sex comedy.

This clip is the G rated version.

This clip is the full musical number (about 3 minutes in the beginning) and should only be viewed by Europeans.

Guns and Underwear.

If you search the "internets" ("it's a series of tubes.") You will find somewhere, someone with a similar interest. These cartoons from early 1900s French magazines show women firing weapons in their underwear which tell me that I missed the artists and audience of these pictures by 100 years.

These characters fire pistols for no apparent reason, undressed.

Unlike Johanna Stegen , "The Heroine Of Lüneburg", this character holds extra cartridges in her skirt.

A proposed uniform with "culotte blank" instead of "culotte rouge."

Movie makers were probably not aware of these images when they made VIVA MARIA set in 1908 and 100 RIFLES set in 1912.

Fräulein Doktor: gas attack...

About 6 minutes in the Germans, including mounted Uhlans get out of their trenches in gas gear. I've only seen this scene from Fräulein Doktor,  before in black and white on a tiny TV screen. A very powerful scene that reminds me of Lord of the Rings and Alexander Nevsky.

REPLICANT Miniatures tell bad jokes.

You'd think for the price of REPLICANT figures, the jokes would be better.

OOPS! I redid the punchline.
