While I couldn't get good photos of the Smithsonian's Cantiniere uniform as displayed I do have older photos of the outfit from other sources. It's displayed with man's Union Army issue trousers and unfortunately has no detailed provenance on display.
The cuffs and collar have sewn on lace that might not be original. It definitely looks like it went on a corseted waist.
