General Philip Sheridan conversion.

 Another Chintoys figure in their mounted Union Generals set is Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. Historically he wasn't charging on horseback as a Colonel at Gettysburg and may not have charged with drawn sword when he was a Fifth Corps commander at the end of the Civil War. I suspect that the makers had seen Gettysburg and guessed that American and European collectors were fans of...... Joshua      Lawrence     Chamberlain. 

I converted this figure to a Union Commander known for leading from the front on horseback on several occasions. That commander is Philip Sheridan. 

General Sheridan's horse "Rienzi" aka "Winchester"  and saddle are on display at the    National Museum of American History.
