Brynolf Wennerberg WW I images

I found this artist by accident. Here's his background and some of his works..
His usual models are slim fashionable German women often with dark hair unlike the stereotype of the buxom blond. While idealized, the images show the German home front early in WW One. The "model" usually associates with officers but the images I like are where the enlisted man gets some attention.

This bearded cavalryman looks like the middle aged Noncom from this Arthur Thiele series....
