Rather than "call" AIP on this, I have have been using their WW I Pickelhaube Helmet figures in blue as 1870-71 Prussians for some time.
You can even convert other AIP figures to Artillery and Cavalry.

Armies In Plastic Franco-Prussian War Prussians
Armies In Plastic is selling their World War One Germans as 1870-71 Prussians in Green, two shades of Blue, and Black. Note AIP removed the grenade throwing figure of the WW I sets.
Rather than "call" AIP on this, I have have been using their WW I Pickelhaube Helmet figures in blue as 1870-71 Prussians for some time.
You can even convert other AIP figures to Artillery and Cavalry.
