The only images I've seen are printed paper soldiers from the 19th Century and a German made flat figure. Maybe there is a photo out there somewhere.
I think they must have existed, as there is some consistency to the various treatments re. fashion/colour etc...?
ReplyDeleteThanks "Maverick". The Paper soldier company assigns cantinieres to just about every unit and army they covered...even British highland regiments! That was what makes me wonder.
ReplyDeleteI should have said that I have seen on photo of a Spahi cantiniere in WW One but not in those "uniforms." I'm going to keep looking as it would be fun to find an photos.
