The sculpting and poses are a bit better on CTS's Confederates. They do retain the "just wittl'd" folk toy look on some and Milliputt jelly roll look on others. I gave them a simple paint job as it they were all issued their gear and clothing at once.
Lot's of dry brushing on the clothing and washed on the flesh.

Simple paint Job!? They look very good., the Highlights from the drybrushing are really very good and the Skin looks great as well. The face on the blonde soldier charging is really good.
ReplyDeleteNice figures with very dynamic poses!
ReplyDeleteVery good "quick" painting work !
Looking good !
ReplyDeleteVery dynamic poses, and the photos look great! Well done!
ReplyDeleteScott, I'm always impressed with the lighting on all of your vinettes.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mannie. It's just overhead florescent and sometimes a small spot. I use the photo software that comes with my computer to tweek the photos.
DeleteNice work Scott,I have just got some of these recently, all in all some nice poses. Shame that the some of the Union figures appear to have some missing details though. Love to know how you manage to swap some of the heads so successfully ?
ReplyDeleteThank you Mike. It's only cut fit, cut fit with an Exacto knife. I use a 1/16" drill, plastic rod to make a "spine" and Zap a Gap to connect and fill the joint.
DeleteI shall give it a go !
